Olin eilen apurina muuttohommissa ja tehtäväkseni tuli kirjahyllyn tyhjennys. Kaappien kätköistä löytyi kokonaisen Agatha Christie -sarjan lisäksi eräs muukin helmi, jonka sain ottaa mukaani kotiin.
Yesterday I helped a friend of mine to empty a book shelf. There were many interesting books such as those of Agatha Christie’s, but one book caught my attention in particular.
“Toiset 200 ongelmaa” -kirja ei ehkä ole klassikko, mutta minun mieltäni se lämmitti: opus täynnä pieniä viisastelutehtäviä, jotka on pakko ratkaista tai ne jää häiritsemään koko loppupäiväksi.
A book called “Another 200 problems” may not be a classic work of art, but it kept me entertained with its logic puzzles and challenging riddles. There is only one disadvantage: If you don’t get the answer right, it will bother you the rest of the day.
I’ll now tell you a couple of riddles in case you are up for some brain teasers. They are quite easy ones ´cause I thought you may have something else to do this weekend too.:)

Pojat vaeltavat päättöminä ympäriinsä vuorokausia, mutta kun heidän voimansa alkavat loppua, he kysyvät neuvoa viisaalta mieheltä. Kuultuaan viisaan miehen neuvon pojat hyppäävät kameleiden selkään ja ratsastavat kotiin niin nopeasti kuin suinkin pystyvät. Mikä oli viisan miehen neuvo?
An Arab sheikh tells his two sons to race their camels to a distant city to see who will inherit his fortune. The one whose camel is slower wins. After wandering aimlessly for days, the brothers ask a wise man for guidance. Upon receiving the advice, they jump on the camels and race to the city as fast as they can. What did the wise man say to them?
