Celebrating love in a parsonage
Today, after a week of holidays, it was time to get back to the office. I had 566 unread messages waiting for me, but clicking them open one after another didn’t feel that bad ’cause I still had good holiday memories in my mind.
Straight from the Katinkulta “training camp” I headed to the South of Finland, Tammisaari. The plan was to celebrate my aunt’s engagement with 50 other guests. The venue took place in a very idyllic parsonage, that dates back to the 1500’s. The property located on the top of the hill served as a priest’s home at that time and was a place for locals to get their offspring babtized. Currently, it is a beautiful summer house and a renovation project of my aunt’s family and this week end it offered a perfect place to celebrate love; to drink one too many glasses of wine; and to enjoy delecious food made by the husband-to-be. Gotta love it!
Some of the quests, including me, stayed over night. Next morning was sunny too, so we spent some more time in the beautiful courtyard.
But it wasn’t just about the beautiful scene outdoors, inside the house could be found interesting little details too.
But now, back to the reality, I’m off to work! Byeee!
What lovely photos and look at all the Moomin mugs!!! I’m sad to be back at work from our Iceland holiday but at least we were able to get away for a while! 🙂
Hi there, thank you! According to your blog, you seem to be even a bigger Moomin fan than me:) btw. Liked your blog introduction in particular!
